Saffron Walden and District RDA

Description:

Tuition: The children are taught by our qualified instructors and supported and encouraged by trained volunteers. We are meticulous about safety, care and kindness. The children are encouraged to further develop physical skills, self-confidence, concentration, independence, social skills and opportunity to gain awards.

Riders are referred through their local primary and secondary schools from age 5 – 15 years. Each child’s specific needs are assessed and taken into account. The lessons run for 30 minutes on Thursday and Friday morning in school term time. We provide regulation-riding hats. We also teach various aspects of pony care.

Qualifications

Our riders may work towards the certificated RDA National Proficiency Tests. We have our own Achievement Awards, which may be tailored for individual riders. Some riders work towards the National recognized ASDAN scheme (Award Scheme Development & Accreditation Network).
