Shropshire Disabled Cricket Team

Description:

Shropshire Disability Representative Squads

Cricket Shropshire currently run two Disability representative squads. The D40 squad plays hardball cricket (40 overs per side) and compete in the ECB D40 North Division against other Counties.

The Super 9's squad is a development team consisting of less experienced disability cricketers. They play with a softball (30 overs per side) and compete in the Super 9s Midlands/North Division against other Counties.

Both squads are managed by David Hassell (manager), Graham Furber and Jonathan Caldecott (coaches).

The D40 squad has had a number of recent successes (including runners up in the 2015, 2016 and 2018 ECB D40 County Championships) and as a result of the hard work and high performance levels, players have also been selected for the England Physical and Learning Disability High Performance and Development Squads.

Shropshire's Disability Cricket squads are always looking for new recruits.
There are two squads at County level:

Super 9s- incrediball (30 overs per side)
D40- hardball (40 overs per side)

The squads have a joint Winter Training Programme based at Wrekin College which runs through to March delivered by coaches Jonathan Caldecott and Graham Furber.
Both squads have summer fixture programmes against our regional counterparts – and both have enjoyed successful campaigns in recent seasons.

The 2020 ECB Player Registration Form is attached below and can be downloaded.
This form gives further details around eligibility and criteria for players involved.
