Roadford Lake

Description

Discover Roadford Lake, a spectacular freshwater expanse nestled in the rolling countryside on the Devon Cornwall border. As one of the largest bodies of freshwater in South West England, its woodland fringes offer an ideal setting for exploring with a Tramper, making nature accessible to all visitors. The lake boasts a popular café with stunning views, perfect for enjoying delicious refreshments and a relaxing break from your journey, all conveniently located just off the A30.

Tramper routes include the scenic lakeside and woodlands of Gaddacombe Head, where you can admire the iconic sundial sculpture, offering breathtaking panoramas. An alternative linear path leads along the top of the dam and the first part of the western shore, culminating at a bench with expansive, far-reaching views across the tranquil waters. Roadford Lake truly promises a fulfilling and memorable day out for everyone.
