Thames Chase

Description

Thames Chase Forest Centre, a new hire point for 2024, now offers Tramper mobility scooter hire seven days a week, making it easier than ever to explore its beautiful green spaces. Located conveniently just outside Upminster, it serves as an ideal starting point for a refreshing country escape.

This initiative greatly enhances accessibility for visitors wishing to enjoy the varied landscapes of this extensive community forest. Part of the larger Thames Chase Community Forest, which boasts over a million planted trees, the centre provides access to a comprehensive network of paths. Tramper users can journey through peaceful woodlands, past charming orchards, and take in picturesque distant views of rolling hills.

Whether you prefer a short, half-hour stroll or a longer, two-hour exploration of the entire site, the Trampers offer unparalleled freedom and flexibility to choose your own adventure. Booking a Tramper is straightforward; simply arrive at the Forest Centre between 10:15 am and 3:00 pm any day of the week, as no advance booking is required.

Membership to Countryside Mobility is essential, and new members can sign up on arrival. The friendly team at the Forest Centre will assist with your hire and provide route information. The centre also features a popular cafe, an information point, a small shop, and two accessible toilets for visitor comfort.
